Philo Farnsworth

Philo was born on August 19, 1906 on Indian Creek in Beaver County, Utah. In 1926, while in high school he co-founded Crocker Research Laboratories, which he later renamed Farnsworth Television Inc. In 1927 he was the first inventor to transmit a television image with 60 horizontal lines. He also developed the dissector tube, which is the basis of all current electronic televisions. Philo attended Brigham Young University in Utah, where he researched television picture transmission. He died March 11, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Philo Farnsworth was a great inventor. He invented over 165 different devices such as;equipment for converting an optical image into an electrical signal,
amplifier cathode-ray vacuum tubes electrical scanners
electron multipliers photoelectric materials
Interesting Facts:
At age 12, he built an electric motor and produced the first electric washing machine that his family had ever owned.
His parents wanted him to become a concert violinist, but his fascination was in electric and inventing new things.
Philo contributed to our technology today by inventing our current system of television transmission and reception.
